The second in Pendleton's Preservation series, the Navajo Childs Blanket is expertly dyed, woven and hand-finished in their American mills. This vivid pattern was inspired by a Navajo child's blanket from the late 1800's. The crosses represent Spider Woman, a powerful teacher and benefactor in Navajo legends. Based on an original weaving in the Durango Collection, Centre of Southwest Studies Collection. Each blanket generates a donation to the Native American Arts, education and health.
