Paying homage to one of Danner's iconic hiking styles introduced in the early 1970s – The Portland made Danner Mountain Light is believed by many to be the greatest backpacking boot of all time The boot features a rich, full-grain leather upper and flat red laces. The rugged Vibram Kletterlift outsole is perfect for outdoor or casual use.

• One piece leather upper. Our one-piece leather design eliminates openings in the tongue area to help keep out debris and water. It also creates a simple finish with minimal seams
• Sienna Cache Leather. Subtle color variations give this leather an antiqued effect that patinas beautifully over time.
• Dri Lex breathable odur resistant liner
• Vibram Kletterlift outsole. Specifically designed for comfort and durability; the heel provides superb shock absorption and the rubber compound guarantees great traction and stability on both wet and dry surfaces.
• Stitch down Construction. Handcrafted to provide a wider platform, and increased stability underfoot as well as allowing the sole unit to be recrafted.

Sizing and Fit

• The 650 M last offers a women's specific fit with ample room through the toe box while maintaining exceptional support and stability. 
• Women's specific fit is based off Danner's popular 650 last the most universal fit for everyday wear.
• Fit is slightly long and we recommend sizing down a half size for best fit.

Care

• Keep clean and mud free
• Regularly apply a neutral or clear finish leather conditioner or Dubbin

Sizing

• Built on Red Wing's no.105 last for women. 
• The Moc Toe has extra room in the forefoot (toe area) and instep which allows easier entry to the shoe.
• Many of our customers purchase 1/2 smaller than their normal size for a true fit.

When purchasing a heritage style work boot it is important to get a snug fit. This will allow the boot to mould and adapt to your foot and prevent heel slippage. Just make sure you can still wiggle your toes though. After all comfort is what we're going for here

Oil tanned leather is exceptionally durable as well as being naturally water, stain and perspiration resistant. It also provides a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-Tanned leather has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 110+ year history.   

Goods Care 

Show a little love to your Red Wing boots and they will repay you ten fold. Regular cleaning, and protecting will prolong the life of your boot and keep the leather soft and well conditioned. For most of us, one pair of these boots should last close to a lifetime. 
A good dry brush is often enough to remove dust but for bigger jobs we recommend Red Wing Leather Cleaner. Once dry always  re condition and protect with Red Wing All Natural Boot Oil . Red Wing Mink Oil is also a popular choice with many of our customers who prefer the added protection of Silicon and Lanolin

 

The Story

The Moc Toe was originally conceived for Sportsmen in 1950's. shortly afterwards farm and factory workers took to the boots for their all-day comfort and lasting durability. The crescent-shaped toe stitching is inspired by the construction of moccasins originally worn by the North American Algonquin Indians.

Portland made, the Danner Ridge Womens was created to be a light weight versatile hiking boot yet with true classic Danner styling. Built with light hikes and city streets in mind, the overall design is inspired by the original Danner Light with an updated construction method that integrates the shank, midsole and lasting board into a single piece. This combined with a low profile Vibram outsole, significantly reduces weight and provides an out-of-the-box comfort that doesn't come standard with most classic hiking boots.

Care

• Keep them clean. in most cases a clean or damp cloth will do the trick. When serious dirt or grime sets in use we recommend Red Wing or Otter Wax product.
• The only other job you have is to not let them dry out. A seasonal or yearly hit depending on their use of Red Wing Natural leather conditioner or similar and then get back out there.
