Padmore & Barnes have been in the shoe business since 1934, giving almost an entire community of Irish people opportunity for work at their Kilkenny factory and surrounds, with many employees still hand finishing shoes in their homes. The iconic Clarks Wallabee was manufactured at their plant up until 1987 when they launched their own independent range of high quality hand crafted shoes.
