The Red Wing Iron Ranger is a genuine American icon. Originally conceived for the early 20th Century mining communities of Minesota, It’s strong aesthetic and practical features have seen it worn by every generation since. With it's double layered toe cap, speed hooks, and now Vibram® outsole it’s stood the test of time. Like all Red Wing Heritage product it's constructed with a Goodyear welt sole and can be resoled time and time again.

- Built on Red Wing's no.8 last, one of the oldest lasts still most frequently used Red Wing lasts .
- Many of our customers purchase 1/2 to one full size smaller than their normal size.
- Bump toe allows for extra toe room
When purchasing a heritage style work boot it is important to get a snug fit. This will allow the boot to mould and adapt to your foot and prevent heel slippage. Just make sure you can still wiggle your toes though. After all comfort is what it's all about.

The Black Harness leather is supplied exclusively to Red Wing by Oil tanned leather specialists S.B Foot Tanning Co.
Oil tanned leather is exceptionally durable as well as being naturally water, stain and perspiration resistant. It also provides a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-Tanned leather has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 110+ year history.
